BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kristen Urquidez, Science Educator at Del Oro High School and her son Drew joined 17 News at Noon to demonstrate how you can watch the the solar eclipse on April 8 without special glasses.
We are two weeks away from a partial eclipse in Kern County, there are a few things that you might want to consider. If you cannot get special solar eclipse glasses in time for the big show, all you need is a few household items to catch the event.
Some of the items you will need is a small box, foil, tape, push pin and paper.
Watch the video in the player above for instructions on how you can make a DIY solar eclipse viewing box.
